Project Description
This project required us to create an outline of a landscape or photo with layers and have those layers cut out onto a solid material via a laser cuter. Then these pieces would come together to form a 3d picture.
This project happened right after Halloween, but I had had this kind of spooky theme idea for a while and I’ve been wanted to use it. I loved the idea of using a landscape of a cemetery. If used with dark colors it could come out really cool.
Reflection
This project was by far my favorite project that we did in this class. I enjoyed the creation process of my outline and im extremely happy with the way it came out. I had never used a laser cutter before so this was a good surprise and it makes me want to do more work with it. I loved the etching that it can do. I wish that I incorporated more etching into my piece. I also wish that I had added color. I am unsure weather it would make it look better but I think it would at least be worth a try.
