Project Description
This project was the create molds of kitsch objects and use these molds to make clay versions of the objects to add to a clay cylinder.
The molds I made were of an apple and an orange. This project was the one project that I didn’t really have any concrete plans. I kind of just wanted to go straight into it. I knew that I wanted it to feel like its moving.
Reflection
I am pretty proud of what I created. I am not experienced in clay so I am happy that I was able to produce something that I like. I wish that I had added more textures to the piece overall, and I’m really sad that I missed the opportunity to color it. I learned a lot from this experience. I learned about kitsch and mold making. It was a very eventful project.
